Healthy Organizational Practices
The focus of this video series is to build the capacity of Deaf DVSV advocacy organizations to effectively support the work of BIPOC Deaf advocates in the field. Program leaders and advocates will learn how to develop practices and policies that align with trauma-informed, empowering advocacy services to survivors. Without this intentionality, organizations can cause harm to advocates and the survivors they serve. This video will address the trend of BIPOC Deaf advocates experiencing burnout in their work due to structural racism within the organizations.
